I've not used SysRq in Linux since the days where I had a serial console on everything. These days it seems we have a fancy lights out manglement web interface for everything, and to hell with the actual OS installed on the bare metal – that obviously can't be trusted. /s
It's a shame, because it's still a nice simple elegant solution to a number of things. I really don't want to have to load up a Java instance inside my browser and spend 20 minutes finding a compatible version of a specific browser just to check the console to see that I need to issue a remote reboot!!
